Ayushee Arora of Class VIII and Angel Pandhi of Class VII have made their school — Bhavan Vidyalaya,Chandigarh — proud by bagging runners-up awards in the nationwide writing competition organised by Scholastic India for the year 2009-10. While Arora made her mark in the Short Story Writing -Fiction category,Pandhi’s ‘Open Letter’ addressed to Kiran Bedi found a place in ‘For Kids By Kids’,a book compiled by Scholastic India,featuring selected award winning entries. The Scholastic Students Writing Awards is an annual literary competition held for students across the country. As many as 3,000 schools presented enties in a wide array of genres.
