DPI(S) to submit reply in two days

Director Public Instructions (Schools) Samwartak Singh is yet to submit his reply to the questionnaire given to him by the UT Police in connection with his alleged involvement in the teachers’ recruitment scam. He was last week given a questionnaire comprising 25 questions relating to his ‘involvement’ in the scam.

The questionnaire has primarily focused on Samwartak’s relations with prime accused Jolly. Sources disclosed that Samwartak has been asked to explain his ‘intimacy’ with one of the prime accused Jolly; since when Jolly was in touch with him; how did he explain numerous calls exchanged between the two in the last three months; procedure of recruitment which the DPI (S) office follows; to what extent and at what all stages the DPI (S) is involved in the process of selecting teachers; besides many more questions.

“He was handed the questionnaire on September 10,we are expecting a reply in another two days,” said a senior police official.
