Upbeat after Raaz,Kangana Ranaut says roles that focus on the dark side are her niche Shes been three times lucky, says actor Kangana Ranaut. Three consecutive films Life in a Metro,Fashion and Raaz: The Mystery Continues have brought me so much critical acclaim, says Ranaut. In Raaz, she plays Nandini,a girl who tries to cope with supernatural incidents around her. With the film being declared a hit,the 21-year-old has successfully sealed her image as a dark, tragic figure who always loses the war between the head and heart. And Ranaut says she wants it to stay that way. I want to enjoy my image since it has brought me success. I am afraid of doing a flop film. I dont want to consciously change my image, she says. Post-Raaz,shes fending questions about whether she has had supernatural encounters in reality. The answer is Yes,I have. When I was in class eight,I went to a temple to pray for a first position in the exams. But before I could utter a word,a man sitting beside the idol spoke out my entire prayer and told me that my wish would come true. It did, she says. As for Raaz,Ranaut adds that she predicted the success of the film even before it hit the screen. Though she does not have a dark side, Ranaut admits that her tumultuous life has settled down courtesy boyfriend and Raaz co-star Adhyayan Suman. He is my emotional support and does not distract me. I am grateful to him for bringing peace into my life, she says. If co-stars are any indication,Ranaut has certainly moved up the ladder. Her current leading man is Hrithik Roshan in Anurag Basus Kites, which releases this August. And her role? She wont divulge now but were guessing therell be lots of glycerine tears involved.
