Getting on an adventure ride may sound fun, but imagine you are about to start the ride and the operator informs you that a crucial security feature is not in place.
But before you can react, the ride plunges into action. This sounds like a potentially dangerous situation, except there is nothing wrong with the ride and the operator has just pranked you to heighten your adrenaline rush.
Richard Groff who works at The Mountain Monster, a theme park in Tennessee, often enacts the above-mentioned scenario as a prank on people who try the Monster DROP, a 200 feet-high-drop ride that secures the rider with just a lap belt.

Groff, who runs a popular TikTok account by the username of @Got_em82, captures the reactions of the riders. Groff’s videos have earned him more than 287.9K TikTok followers.
On Monday, a Twitter user Warren (@swd2) shared a compilation of Groff’s videos and wrote, “This guy is pure evil but in a good way ”. This tweet got more than 4.6 lakh views and thousands of likes. Commenting on it, a Twitter user wrote, “Does he want people to have a heart attack? ”. Another person said, “Funny as hell, but lucky any of those ‘shoulder strap’ folks didn’t accidentally try to adjust/loosen any belts or whatever and release themselves (not sure what how they are secured to it)”.
