The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association celebrated the festival of Lohri on Monday with traditional fervour and festive spirit in the presence of judges of the high court, who joined the members in the celebrations and extended greetings on the occasion.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial bonfire, symbolising prosperity, happiness and togetherness. The participation of the judges added warmth to the gathering, with their interaction with members lending a personal touch to the celebrations.

A cultural programme was organised as part of the event, featuring a performance by Punjabi singer Gagan Kokri, whose popular numbers drew an enthusiastic response from the audience. The performances created a lively atmosphere and were widely appreciated by those present.

Traditional Lohri rituals were observed, and seasonal delicacies were distributed, reflecting the cultural ethos of Punjab. Organisers said the celebrations also served as a platform to promote cultural harmony, unity and mutual respect within the legal fraternity.
