NEW DELHI, Feb 17: A sessions court as well as a Magisterial court today rejected Romesh Sharma8217;s bail application. Metropolitan Magistrate Rajrani Mitra dismissed Sharma8217;s bail application on grounds that the charges levelled against him are serious in nature.
The chargesheet stated that Sharma, in collusion with a Modi Rubber employee, had threatened and tried to extort money from Wing Commander, Ramesh Malik. Sharma had allegedly told Malik to hand over the C-30, Chirag Delhi, where the latter was residing. In another case in which Sharma is accused of cheating, Additional Sessions Judge S.C. Mittal rejected his second bail application.
