MUMBAI, JANUARY 22: Marico Industries reported a 12 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 7.78 crore on an 11 per cent increase in sales and services at Rs 172 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 1999 compared to the similar period last year. For nine months ending December, the net profit fell by 12 per cent to Rs 25.68 crore on the back of a 19 per cent rise in sales and services at Rs 478.30 crore.
Other income in Q3 was Rs 18 lakhs Rs 24 lakhs in Q3 last year while total expenditure was Rs 158.15 crore Rs 141.84 crore. Finance charges stood at Rs 1.56 crore Rs 1.29 crore.Gross profit after interest but before depreciation and taxation was up by 9.56 per cent to Rs 12.56 crore.
