Punjab decision on grant flayed
President of the Association of Principals of Non-Government Colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh, P. S. Sangha, has flayed the Punjab government8217;s decision to give a fixed grant to government-aided private colleges and schools.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Sangha termed the decision as 8220;retrograde8221;. He said, 8220;if implemented, this would prove fatal for these institutions as in the absence of grant-in-aid from the government, these institutions would find it difficult to survive.8221;
