Of sand and sea
With the smell of authentic Goanese cuisine in the air,one would almost look around for the sand and the sea as the spirit of Goa is brought to Pune. Fortune Dasve,Lasava,will hold a Goan food festival from June 4 to June 6,which will see authentic Goanese food being served for lunch and dinner on all three days. Among the food on offer will be the classical Goan dishes of Vindaloo,Sorpotel,Fish Ambotika and Sanas,as chefs will specially come from Goa to satisfy the taste buds. Lunch will be from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm and dinner from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm.

Barbeque fiesta
They say the best way to build up an appetite is through exercise. They,whoever they are,also say that swimming is the best exercise of all. At the Oakwood Residence,Naylor Road,every Sunday,one has the opportunity to first build up an appetite through swimming,before banishing it through a barbeque buffet. Unlimited steaks,burgers and grills help abate the appetite. Meanwhile,free flowing beer,fruit juices and soft drinks help you wash down all that food. The food menu comprises of Konkani on Mondays,Italian and Maharashtrian on Tuesdays and Wednesdays,Mexican on Thursdays,Nawabi on Fridays,continental on Saturdays and Peshawari on Sundays. The Poker Night celebration is on till June 30.

The Westin,Koregaon Park,in association with California Prune Board and Ed Hardy Vodka is organising the ‘Afternoon Fashion Sunday Brunch’,which will showcase accessories by designer Sonali Dalwani,of the brand Crimzon,while enjoying the culnary wizardry of Chef Ray Liew in Prego. The event is on June 5,12 noon to 3.30 pm.
