The Alumni Association of College of Engineering,Pune,organised an interactive get together of the alumni at the CoEP auditorium,on March 24. Pramod Chaudhari,chairman of Praj Industries Ltd,was the chief guest for the gathering. The day included felicitations of distinguished alumni,the golden jubilee celebrations of 1961 and 1962 batches as well as interviews of alumni with students. A cultural programme was also staged by the present students of CoEP.

The seventh edition of Womens Prowess,a symposium on gender equality and issues concerning women,was recently held at the International Institute of Information Technology,Hinjewadi. Speakers including Chailtali Sheth,city director for Teach for India and Vishwas Mahajan,founder of Compulink,delivered talks on several issues concerning the girl child and femininity at large. The symposium aimed at inspiring women to get over patriarchy of all sort. Indian women have come out of the typical housewife stereotype and managed to shine dynamically in the business world, said Mahajan.
