2 students commit suicide in Lucknow

Two students committed suicide in separate incidents in Lucknow on Thursday. While Abhishek Mishra (24) took the extreme step over the poor financial condition of his family in Mahanagar,Anita Goswami (22) committed suicide due to depression in the Talkatora area.

Mishras body was found hanging from a branch of a tree near his house at the Paper Mill Colony. The locals informed the police after his family spotted the body.

Mishra was a student of BCom first-year in the Shia Post-Graduate College. Abhisheks father Awadhesh Mishra is physically-challenged and the youth used to do odd jobs to support the family. Unable to cope up with the situation,he took the extreme step, said SP (Trans-Gomti) Paresh Pandey.

Meanwhile,Anita Goswami a student of BA second-year in Kanpur University hanged herself from the ceiling of her room at her Surya Nagar Colony residence.

Her father Suresh Babu,an assistant commandant with the Railway Protection Force (Northern Eastern Railways),told the police that his daughter was depressed and avoided interacting with the family for the last two weeks.
