After Roadies,Splitsvilla and Crunch,it’s time for some virtual reality on MTV Chat House,a new show,which will come alive across multiple screens — mobile,the laptop screen and television screen. Cashing in on the viral fever,MTV Chat House is designed on a format that blurs the boundaries between the virtual world and the real world. In MTV Chat House,three chat masters will live in an Israel-based mansion for 60 days. Designed like an online chat room,with a chat lobby,private rooms,and a huge wall of chat-screens,they will be completely out of touch with the outside world,and the only people they’ll be allowed to communicate with,will be 12 participants living in separate,isolated rooms. But they will not use their real identities while communicating with them.

The goal of the chat masters is simple: to collect most friends into their private rooms,as the one with the maximum number of friends will be declared the winner at the end of the season. Hence,if you have no friends,then you actually have nothing in the MTV Chat House.

“Transmedia storytelling is the only way to engage this wired generation. We experimented with Crunch and now we doing it again with Chat House. Integrating three screens seamlessly will give viewers the window to connect with the show wherever,whenever. With MTV Chat House,we are turning the fundamentals of a reality show on its head. It is inclusion instead of elimination,because today,if you don’t have friends,you are nobody,” says Aditya Swamy,EVP and Business Head,MTV India about the show,which will be hosted by Nikhil Chinappa.
