The civic polls were held for 222 seats out of a total 334 seats on November 25. The polls recorded a voter turnout of 81.54 per cent. The remaining 112 seats were won by the ruling BJP uncontested.
A CMO official said the police will take strict action against everyone who deliberately tried to spread rumour or communal disharmony.

🔴 Tripura civic polls: The opposition Trinamool Congress and CPI(M) in the state told the court that its candidates and supporters have not been allegedly allowed to cast their votes and there is a serious breach of law and order.
This comes after the Supreme Court Tuesday refused to postpone the elections on a plea by the TMC, but issued additional guidelines to ensure they remain peaceful.
The notice gave no details on when the alleged offences were committed. A Tripua govt official said OSD Mishra had not travelled to Bengal recently.
