CHENNAI, August 8: A special, computer-aided educational programme to cover 20,000 severely disabled children across the country has been formulated jointly by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation NIIT and the Spastics Society of Tamil Nadu. The special educational software is based on NIIT’s I-write package. Instruction manuals and teacher training are included in the system, along with monitoring and management support facilities. The interactive learning environment seeks to make education a fun process for the disabled.
