Two techies killed in road accident

Two computer engineers from Pune were killed in a motorcycle accident near Kamshet on the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway,around 9.30 pm on Sunday.

Two computer engineers from Pune were killed in a motorcycle accident near Kamshet on the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway,around 9.30 pm on Sunday.

The Kamshet police have identified the deceased as Sureshsingh Khushalsingh Papola (23),of Prajasatta Colony in Dhanori and Shaktivel Nandakumar Acharya (24),of Kondhwa. Both were employed with an IT firm in Koregaon Park area and were on their way to Lonavala when the accident occurred,the police said. Investigating officer Rajendra Shitole said,“We suspect the rider may have lost control over the motorcycle at a turn. The motorcycle rammed into a divider. Both victims were not wearing helmets.”

The bodies of both the deceased were handed over to relatives on Monday after autopsy,the police said.
