Tiger kills man in Bahraich
Lucknow: A man was killed by a tiger near Katarniaghat sanctuary in Bahraich,forest officials said here today. The body of the victim was found in the field on Tuesday evening. Two persons — Saligaram (60) and Jagmal (55) — were killed by the tiger on January 6 and January 8.

UPPCL staff threaten strike
Lucknow: Engineers of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited have threatened to go on a two-day strike on January 14 and 15 over alleged discrepancies in promotions.The power engineers’ strike will coincide with the birthday of Chief Minister Mayawati on January 15.
