Whistle Stop: Twitter Tactics

Pooja Bedi is in the news, but this time for the wrong reasons.

Pooja Bedi is in the news, but this time for the wrong reasons. The actor received flak on Twitter when she lashed out at Bigg Boss Season 5 inmate Mahek Chahal and tried to malign her. Celebs spoke in Chahal’s support. Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali tweeted that she felt sad about Bedi not supporting Chahal against Sky (as Akashdeep Sahgal is referred to by the inmates) in the Bigg Boss house. Mahek’s newest supporter is last year’s winner Shweta Tiwari. Tiwari re-tweeted Bedi’s comment about Chahal being ‘a vulture’ and noted how ‘disgusting’ it was on Bedi’s part. Looks like there is a war erupting outside the house as well.

In what can only be called a smart move,PVR Cinemas is re-releasing Dev Anand-starrer Hum Dono today at its cinema halls across the country. The Hum Dono colour version, which hit the screens earlier this year, did not quite get the expected response. However,Anand’s recent demise could up the nostalgia quotient of the film. The last black-and-white film from the Navketan banner,it also has Anand in a double role. For those who haven’t watched this masterpiece on the big screen, here’s your chance.
