Daddy’s girl

When Bollywood comes knocking,most theatre actors willingly give the stage a heave-ho. But Shazahn Padamsee,the perky daughter of theatre-person and adman Alyque Padamsee and singer Sharon Prabhakar,insists that she will “continue to do theatre”. The actor,who debuted in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year as Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend,recently visited Delhi for the India launch of shoe manufacturer Skechers USA . The MNC,which has the likes of Britney Spears and Ashley Simpson,as its brand ambassadors,has roped in Shazahn to be their new face in India .

Dressed in a sporty outfit and fashionable sneakers,Shazahn was all smiles and giggles about her new life as an actor. “I started my acting career with theatre and modelling,and though I have offers of interesting movies lined up,theatre will be a part of my life,” said the actor,who has been a part of plays like Unspoken Dialogues,directed by her father.

Shazahn added that “theatre life is more demanding and challenging and requires stronger commitment but she was up to it”.
