3 BJP MLAs resign from Assembly

With the resignation of the three MLAs, BJP’s strength in the Assembly has come down to 28 from 31.

Three BJP MLAs, including BJP chief Harsh Vardhan, who were elected to Lok Sabha, on Thursday quit their membership of the Delhi Assembly.

A senior official at the Delhi Assembly said Chandni Chowk MP Harsh Vardhan, South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri and West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh resigned as MLAs.

“All three MLAs who were elected to Lok Sabha submitted their resignation to the Speaker M S Dhir,” he said. With the resignation of the three MLAs, BJP’s strength in the Assembly has come down to 28 from 31.
