Socio-medical camp held

Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Administration and Municipal Corporation organised a socio-medical camp at Government Model High School,Vikas Nagar,Mauli Jagran today.

Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Administration and Municipal Corporation organised a socio-medical camp at Government Model High School,Vikas Nagar,Mauli Jagran today. Advisor to UT Administrator K K Sharma visited the fourth in a series of five such camps forming the sixteenth anniversary celebrations of the association.

Over 300 patients were examined by specialists from Ivy Hospital,Grewal Eye Institute and the dental unit of Mata Tripta Charitable Trust. The team from Social Welfare Department processed 21 pension and loan cases.

Maj Gen M S Kandal,organiser of medical camps and president Brig Keshav Chandra said that organising welfare activities,like medical camps,was one of the ways for senior citizens to express their gratitude to society and utilise their experience and expertise to show their continued relevance as an important segment of the community.
