Paras upsets second seed Parmeet

Meanwhile,Himmat Kadiyan defeated Harsimran Singh 5-3,4-2 in an evenly contested match. Himmat hardly gave any chance to Harsimran to play his natural game and won both the sets. The other matches in the Under-14 category turned out to be one-sided affairs.

Paras Mittal continued with his winning momentum when he registered an emphatic victory over Sourav Prashar in the boys’ Under-12 category. Paras,the top seed,blanked his opponent Sourav 4-0,4-0 in just half an hour.

The most exciting match in the Under-12 category was played between Prabhmaan Thapar and Prateek Sharma. Prabhman was stretched to the maximum by Prateek during the former’s 5-4(2),4-2 win.

Meanwhile,third seed Parmeet Deol hardly faced any difficulty while defeating Gursehaj Singh 4-0,5-3. Second seed Sagar Bains outclassed Mayank Arora during his 4-1,4-2 win.

According to Devinder Kapoor,Director,Total Tennis,all the next round matches along with boys under 16 matches,will be played on Monday from 9 am onwards at Total Tennis Academy’s YMCA Sector 11 premises.
