In another week you should start planting bulbous plants. When you begin to feel a little nip in the air,its time to start planting. With a little higher temperature, the bulbs start rotting and also get infested with disease pathogens, especially when the moisture level is high. At the time of planting any bulbs, treat them with bavistin, dissolved at two gram to a litre of water. Keep the bulbs dipped in this solution for about two hours, dry in shade and plant. You can plant oxalis, lilium, gladiolus, narcissus, daffodil, tiger lily, iris. These are some of the best cut flowers, with a reasonably long vase life.
* I have heard that the plumeria and manihot are propagated by way of cuttings only in winters. Is it so? If yes, please tell how much long cutting should I plant and in which medium.

Yes,you heard it right. These two plants are propagated by way of cuttings only in winters. In case of manihot it is better to plant ten inches long cuttings but in case of plumeria, you can try even three feet long cutting. Plant them at the place where you want the plant to be.

* How is liquid cow dung manure made? Can I do so at home? How is it used when ready?
Parnita,Mohali
It is easy to make liquid manure. Take one part of fresh cow dung and mix it with eight parts of water. Keep it undisturbed for a fortnight. The manure is ready for use. Use only the liquid part by passing it through cloth and use only by diluting it to weak tea colour. Add about a litre of it per pot at weekly interval. Take care that it does not fall on the leaves.
