Chandigarh: A case was registered against the driver of a car with registration number CH04 B 7064. The victim Deepak Chander alleged that the driver sped away after hitting his motor cycle in Sector 31. The victim suffered injuries and was admitted to GMCH Sector 32. A case under Section 279 and 337 was registered.

Two arrested for possessing arms

Chandigarh: Lovekesh,resident of Mohali and Harpreet Singh resident of Fatehgarh Sahib,Punjab were arrested from Sector 23 on Thursday for illegally possessing weapons and fake identity cards of Panjab University. They were booked under sections 466,468,471 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant sections of the arms act.

Man booked for death due to negligence

Chandigarh: A case was registered under Section 304 (Punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code against a man for negligence leading to the death of a man working for him. The victim named Guddu who worked for the accused,Mohamed Jaan was electrocuted on August 14. He was taken to GMSH 16 where he was declared brought dead.

Driver booked for rash driving

Chandigarh: A case was registered under the Section and 337 of IPC against the driver of Haryana Roadways Bus HR68A-9974. The victim,Rajinder Singh alleged that the driver of the bus threw him near the TPT light point on August 13.
