Pak Rangers return Allahabad teen missing since last September

The Pak Rangers handed over Dharmendra Kumar,a teenager from Phoolpur tehsil of Allahabad district in Uttar Pradesh,who was missing since September 8,2010,to the BSF at Sadki border in Fazilka on Friday. The boy was found in the interior of Pakistan. Kumar is stated to be mentally upset. Vimal Satyaarthi,DIG,BSF confirming the development said,“The Pak Rangers contacted us and gave us a rough idea of the address given to them by the teenager. During address verification,it was found that the boy was missing since September 8 last year.” The boy’s father Ram Vilas has come to Fazilka but BSF authorities revealed that they will hand him over to the police first for investigations. Haryana asks Centre to allow states to retain 2 pc tax on inter-state goods transactions

Haryana has asked the Central government to allow the states to retain two per cent of the tax on inter-state transaction of goods and services. This will not only facilitate better inter-state movement of goods and services,but also serve as an incentive to the states to develop infrastructure,and substantially reduce the amount of GST compensation payable to the states by the Central Government. The demand was made by Haryana Finance Minister,Captain Ajay Singh Yadav,while speaking at the meeting of state finance ministers in New Delhi on Friday.

Mirchpur Dalits seek rehabilitation

Dalits of Mirchpur,who had fled their village to escape the wrath of Jats,have demanded land in Hisar and job for one member of each family. Around 130 families had left the village a fortnight ago and have been staying at a farmhouse of a Dalit leader Ved Pal Tanwar in Hisar,said Satyawan,one of the persons who too had fled.

HERC upholds HPGCL claim on Lanco power

Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has upheld the claim of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) over 300 MW Power from Unit-2 of the Lanco Amarkantak Power Private Limited (LAPPL) power project in Chhattisgarh,through its order dated February 2. LAPPL had entered into a power purchase agreement with Power Trading Corporation on Oct 19,2005 for purchase of entire 300 MW power from Unit-2 of the LAPPL Project in Chhattisgarh for a period of 25 years.
