India is shaped by its food culture, which consists of delectable street food. From panipuri to aloo tikki to momos to vada pav, every region has a diverse array of cuisines. While Delhi cannot get enough of aloo tikki, Mumbai's staple is vada pav. However, popular influencer, Sakshi Shivdasani, from South Bombay is not a fan of vada pav. A video is doing rounds on the internet wherein Shivdasani can be heard saying, "I think vada pav is trash. Like I hate vada pav. From the bottom of my heart.” When asked if she is from Bombay, she says, "I am." "It's just nostalgia. There's no way you think boiled potatoes and bread make sense," she continues. Watch the viral video here: Surprisingly, Shivdasani's statement did not irk Mumbaikaras, who agreed with her take on vada pav. The video also triggered a debate on food choices and snowballed reactions from users. Besides, users took the mickey out of Shivdasani's South Bombay accent. A user wrote, "I so agree with her last point. Chutney is bae." Another user said, "She makes sense btw." "Alas somebody said it. Well done girl," the third user commented. Reacting to her accent, a user said, "Some people physically live in india but in their mind they think they’re living in U.S and they act like this too." Yet another user wrote, "Where is this accent coming from??" For those who have been asleep for a decade, Sakshi Shivdasani has more than 400K followers on Instagram. Her bio reads, “one day imma voice a cartoon character and millions of people will find my voice annoying instead of thousands.”
