Goa Zilla Panchayat Election Results 2025 Highlights: As the BJP looks set for a big win in the Zilla Panchayat Election, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant thanked the state and party karyakartas. As of 6.30 pm, BJP-MGP alliance won 30 seats. The Congress secured 9 seats, while the Goa Forward Party, Aam Aadmi Party and Revolutionary Goans Party won one seat each. Counting is underway in 14 centres.

Highest voter turnout:  The coastal state saw a turnout of more than 70.81% in the polls, the highest since these elections were first held in 2005. Goa Election Results LIVE Updates: Final tally shows thumping win for BJP-MGP Alliance

The BJP-Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) ruling alliance secured 32 of the 50 seats in the Goa zila panchayat elections, the results of which were announced on Monday. The Congress won 10 seats, while its ally, the Goa Forward Party (GFP), secured one.

The BJP emerged with 29 seats and the MGP with three. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) retained its lone seat, while the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) won two seats. Four independents were also elected. The polls, held on Saturday, recorded a turnout of 70.8 per cent — the highest since rural body elections were first conducted in the coastal state in 2005.
