Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has turned out to be a massive hit at the box office.Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 18 : It seems there’s no stopping director Aditya Dhar’s Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar, as the film continues its successful run at full throttle even in its third week in theatres. The film saw almost 50% drop on Monday as it collected Rs 16.5 crore, taking its total domestic net earning to Rs 571.75 crores, as per Sacnilk. Globally, it is likely to enter Rs 900 crore on Tuesday. As per its producers, the film collected Rs 19.7 crores on third Monday and its domestic net collection stands at Rs 598.9 cr.
Despite opening to polarising reviews, the spy actioner has been displaying a phenomenal run at the box office and has now set a fresh record, which is unlikely to be surpassed by any other titles this year. In a major achievement, industry tracker Sacnilk reported that Dhurandhar crossed the Rs 850 crore mark on Monday, December 22, becoming just the second film to do so this year. Interestingly, the Ranveer Singh-starrer did not just stop there and went on to surpass actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter – 1’s worldwide gross of Rs 852.31 crore, making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. Now, it remains to be seen if the movie will dethrone Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s controversial Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal (2023), which grossed Rs 915 crore worldwide, to enter the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

Compared to Animal, Dhurandhar has been performing phenomenally, earning almost twice its domestic nett on the corresponding days. While Animal minted Rs 14.5 crore on day 17, which was a Sunday, the Ranveer Singh-starrer collected a whopping Rs 38.5 crore on the corresponding day, underscoring that it is very likely to surpass the Ranbir Kapoor film this week itself.
In fact, Dhurandhar is faring better than even Dangal (2016) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), which currently top the list of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. While Dangal earned Rs 14.33 crore on day 17, Baahubali 2 minted Rs 32 crore. However, it’s in the overseas market that Dhurandhar hasn’t made a similar impact, which will definitely affect its lifetime run. While Dangal’s overseas collection stood at Rs 1,535.3 crore when it wrapped up its theatrical run, Baahubali 2’s was Rs 371.16 crore, while Dhurandhar is still hovering at Rs 186 crore.
On Monday, it witnessed an overall occupancy of 27.26 per cent in the Hindi market. While the morning shows commenced with 16.81 per cent occupancy, the rate improved as the day unfolded, reaching 28.32 per cent at noon, 36.66 per cent in the evening, and 33.24 per cent during night screenings.
Continuing its successful run, director Aditya Dhar's Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar crossed the Rs 15 crore mark in India nett collection on Tuesday, December 23, taking its total to Rs 587.35 crore.
Heaping praise on Dhurandhar yet again, veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Thinking it's the patriotic aspect which is making Dhurandhar work is like thinking, it's the empathy for Ramgarh villagers which made Sholay work. The one and only reason why it's working is that Aditya Dhar made a never-before-experienced fantastic, exciting and intriguing thriller entertainer."
Having earned Rs 13.01 crore as of 8 pm on December 23, Dhurandhar shows promise of entering the Rs 900 crore club this week itself. The movie's current worldwide gross stands at Rs 876.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Pinkvilla reports that amid the success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh has decided to exit Don 3, as he "doesn't want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films."
A source close told the publication, “With Dhurandhar’s massive success, Ranveer is very clear about the kind of films he wants to do next. He is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, and at the same time, he doesn’t want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films, especially since Dhurandhar is already established in that space. That’s one of the reasons he has asked Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of Pralay. Ranveer is keen on fast-tracking the project and bringing it on floors sooner than planned.”

No other film in the recent past has showcased 'spy seepage' as good as this one. The film is not entirely original and has pacing issues in its 214 minute runtime, but credit to Aditya Dhar for his conviction, dealing of his characters - and most importantly the way the film blends itself into real life incidents so seamlessly (which is also the main reason for its massive success). Possibly one of the best ensembles in recent times - a cast breathing fire all the way except for Arjun Rampal who felt very plastic in his role. Dhurandhar scored third highest day 18 for Hindi films with Rs 19.7 crore earning. Ahead of Dhrandhar are Pushpa 2 (Rs 27 crore) and Stree 2 (22.10 crore).
Revealing how Aditya Dhar's team approached him for making 'Fa9la' in Dhurandhar, Flipperachi said, "The production reached out to my team because they felt the song was a perfect match for the scene, and the rest is history. Dhurandhar has emerged as a big earner overseas having already emerged as Ranveer's highest grosser in the territories. By the end of day 18, it has earned over $20.5 million globally. Dhurandhar's worldwide box office collection stands at Rs 872 crore.
After posting the highest second week ever for an Indian film, Dhurandhar has now made the biggest third week for Hindi films in just four days. The film has crossed the Rs. 100 crore nett mark is its week three. The film is looking at Rs. 150 crore total collection in its third week.

In a new interview with SCREEN, Flipperachi explained the meaning of his trending song 'Fa9la' which features Akshay Khanna. "It’s a fun song that’s basically a series of dances put together, in a nutshell. I wrote this in 2024, and it came out in May and went viral back then. “Fa9la” or “Fasla”, loosely translated, means a vibe/letting loose. When we say it in Arabic, it basically means just having fun," he said.

Dhurandhar is all set to enter Rs 600 crore club with its domestic net earning on Tuesday. It has earned Rs 598.9 crore since release at the India box office, said producer Jio Studios. This makes Dhurandhar fourth highest earner ever in terms of domestic earnings. Ahead of it are Jawan (Rs 643 cr), Chaava (Rs 627 cr), Stree 2 (Rs 600.1 cr). Given Dhurandhar's momentum and the upcoming holidays, it is likely to breach them within this week.
Even as estimates put Dhurandhar box office collection on Monday at Rs 16.5 crore, its makers Jio Studios have now said that the Ranveer Singh starrer earned Rs 19.5 crore.
At the time of its release, Aamir Khan-starrer Secret Superstar earned Rs 912.75 crore at the global box office. Dhurandhar has now made Rs 872.25 crore worldwide, and will soon surpass Secret Superstar.
