Bank Holiday in India 2025: Banks will be closed today, Tuesday, December 23, due to the gazetted state bank holiday for bank employees in Nagaland, as stated in the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar.

There are a total of 18 official bank holidays scheduled for December 2025, including mandatory weekly days off on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.

These bank holidays are designated under the Negotiable Instruments Act and include both RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays.
