A set of videos by Vita Kari are going viral on Instagram thanks to the visual artist’s highly deceptive printing and placement skills. “Do you know the craziest thing about being creative?” Kari is often seen asking in the videos, speaking directly into the camera.
The artist then quickly points to a hyper-realistic fake feature incorporated into the video. These “fake” additions are often Kari’s ear, a hand and even the text that appears on the video.
Kari’s straightforward delivery is highly entertaining despite having a jarring effect. The “craziest thing about being creative” videos have gathered lakhs of likes.
An Instagram user commented, “EVERYTIME i scan the entire screen and still miss it. They’re just too good 😭 ”. Another user wrote, “i heart her so much like it’s just so fun hearing her say “i printed it out “ 😂 😂 😂 ”.

A recipient of the Otis Presidential Scholarship, awarded on the basis of “both academic and artist merit as well as financial need”, Kari will soon earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, US.
