Students block road in protest

GURGAON, Jan 13: Hundreds of JBT students from JBT school, Ferozepur Namak, kept the Sohna-Alwar road jammed for about two hours in protest against the 8220;callous8221; attitude of the state transport authorities. The students complained that the Haryana Roadways bus drivers were not stopping the buses for them despite their being pass holders.

It is learnt that yesterday one student, Amit Kumar, fell down while trying to board a moving bus. Sub-divisonal Magistrate, Nuh, Shiv Prasad Sharma said that the students were feeling harassed and complained of facing inconvenience due to the Roadways buses. The SDM assured them that the transport authorities will be directed for taking corrective steps.

Later, the students lifted the blockade after giving one week8217;s time to the authorities.
