After Saregama and Meri Aawaz Suno, there8217;s one more musical contest on the small screen, this time on DD Metro. Sun Sun Sun which goes on air on Monday, August 10 at 7.30 pm, will be hosted by Suchitra Krishnamurthy and Dabboo Malik. With the number of music contests on air these days, even bathroom singers may soon find their way to the small screen.

The biggest shopping store of the city, Shoppers8217; Stop has something interesting lined up for Independence Day. A 15-day shopping festival, called Parikrama, is currently on at the store. The theme is about the discovery of India. Craftsmen from all over the country have been invited. Besides having their creations on sale, live demonstrations by them are also on the agenda. Lohars from the heart of central India Madhya Pradesh, dhurrie weavers from Andhra Pradesh, silver filigree craftsmen from Orissa are some of the people who will be displaying their skills at the store. Terracota and ceramics, wrought iron stuff, glass ware, embroidered linen etc will also be up for sale. Collections based on four eras Indus Valley, Mughal, Gupta, and Rajput have also been created by designers Wendell Rodericksand Madhu Jain for this festival. The theme for the last collection on show will be on contemporary India. Whatever your tastes, they will be fulfilled over this fortnight at Shoppers8217; Stop.
