Dhurandhar Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 41: Ranveer Singh film smashes Pushpa 2, Chhaava records as it storms into Rs 1300 cr club globally
Dhurandhar Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 41: Ranveer Singh film is giving tough competition to Prabhas' The Raja Saab, as it has crossed the Rs 1300 crore mark worldwide and earns Rs 866.4 crores net in India.
Dhurandhar made over Rs 1300 crore worldwide.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Worldwide Total: Despite nearing the end of its six week run at the theatres, the Ranveer Singh film refuses to slow down at the box office. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy-thriller drama has broken several major records since its release on December 5. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, on day 41, Dhurandhar witnessed growth over the Sakranthi holiday, earning Rs 3.4 crores. The worldwide box office collection has now crossed Rs 1300 crore milestone, and the domestic net collections are now Rs 866.4 crore, as per Jio Studios.
With its Wednesday earnings, Dhurandhar has smashed the records of Pushpa 2 The Rise that earned Rs 1.55 crore on day 41 and that of Chhaava which made Rs 1.3 crore. Dhurandhar’s collections are almost the double of what those films made.
In the beginning of its sixth week, Dhurandhar slowed down over the weekdays — it earned Rs 2.35 crore on Monday and Rs 2.6 crore on Tuesday. However, it has shown a slight jump on the festival holiday. On Wednesday, Dhurandhar had an overall occupancy of 16.49% at the theatres, including, morning shows at 7.63%, afternoon shows registered at 17.81%, evening shows at 18.45%, and night shows recorded at 22.07%. Delhi NCR region had 719 shows, with 9.50% theatre occupancy and Mumbai stood at 17.25% in 349 shows.
Its day 41 box office collections at Rs 3 crore are two times more than Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise collections at Rs 1.5 crore. Aditya Dhar’s film is already the highest grossing Indian Film in India and the fourth highest Indian grosser worldwide. After breaking historic records of KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore) and RRR (Rs 1230 crore), it is yet to beat Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore), and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore).
Despite fresh releases like Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, Chiranjeevi starrer Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and Vir Das’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, Dhurandhar has stayed unaffected. It has been giving tough competition to new theatrical releases every week. Now, it would be interesting to see if Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan starrer Border 2 will be able to overtake the film on January 23.
Besides Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. Helmed by Aditya Dhar and jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the makers have even announced the sequel of the film, Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 19, this year. It will clash at the theatres with Yash’s highly-awaited film Toxic.
