Maneka wants Arjun arrested

NEW DELHI, JAN 31: Union Minister and wildlife activist Maneka Gandhi today demanded arrest of Congress leader Arjun Singh accusing him of indulging in quot;continuous smugglingquot; of animals and committing fraud.

She was referring to a recent incident in which a police guard was killed by a pet deer inside Singh8217;s Bhopal residence.Claiming that the licence was given to Singh in 1991 permitting him to keep only one deer, she said the black buck found in his house was quot;certainly not nine years old8230;..In which case, these are not the deer for which the licence was issuedquot;.
