A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death on Saturday night at Tilak Nagar. The police said Sunil Narayan Kamble was stabbed in the chest by Abdul Razak Mulla at around 10 p.m.

An injured Kamble was rushed to the Rajawadi hospital but was declared dead before admission. The stabbing followed an argument that broke out between the two on Saturday night. A case has been filed.

Jumped to death

A 32-year-old woman committed suicide following harassment by her in-laws. Vaishali Ghag, mother of a 3-year-old boy, jumped from the third storey apartment of the Mhada Vanrai colony, Goregaon East around 11.30 p.m. Vaishali was married to Vasant for the last six years. She was being harassed by her in-laws for money since then. Unable to bear with it any more, she took the final plunge, the police said. The Aarey sub-division police has arrested Vasant and his brother Ramesh on charges of abetment in committing suicide.

Vendor killed

A 35-year-old man killed his brother-in-law for not printing his name on a wedding invitation. The police said Kisan Arolkar, 55, a vegetable vendor, was beaten to death by Vasudeo Mehra on Saturday morning. Arolkar, inspite of a warning from Mehra, failed to print the latter8217;s name on the wedding card. An angry Mehra bashed Arolkar to death with a wooden plank. Dahisar police arrested Mehra for murder.

Man found dead

An unidentified body of a man was found near Pant Nagar on Saturday afternoon. The body was found at Vasantrao Naik Marg, near Ramabai colony bus stop. The deceased was about 35-years-old and has rope marks around his neck. The Pant Nagar police has filed a case of murder and investigation is on.

Shop looted

Four men armed with choppers looted cash and cold drinks worth Rs 20,000 from a shop in Juhu on Saturday night. Harakchand Shah was alone at his N S Road shop, when four men entered with choppers and threatened him. Later they fled with the cash. A case has been filed.

Dairy robbed

Four men armed with revolvers and choppers looted Rs 18,000 from a dairy in Vile Parle on Saturday night. Fattelal Joshi was at his New Narayan dairy, near Mulla high school, Shahai Raje marg, Vile Parle when four men entered the shop. They threatened Joshi with the weapons, took cash from the cupboard and fled. The Vile Parle police has filed a case of robbery. No arrests were made.
