Sunday might be your day of dissipated indulgence but in an inexplicably contrarian move to draw in the crowds, Lodi Restaurant is inviting its patrons to detox with a few Power Yoga asanas like Trikorasana (triangle pose), to be followed up with an organic breakfast of dried mango cereals and fresh juices. If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, maybe you’ll spring out of bed for their live santoor recital playing in the background. Desperate times clearly call for desperate measures, but the fact that a restaurant is organizing yoga sessions to get people to spend sounds alarming indeed. Lodi Restaurant’s concept of Cosmic Sundays is currently at its fifth week but the aim is to go upto 12 Sundays which symbolises the 12 chakras of the psychic body. “We want people lazing around in bed to make an effort to commit to a healthy lifestyle. Since we are a food and beverages outlet we thought of combining Sunday with wellness,” says Inderpal Kochhar, MD, Lodi Restaurant. On offer is an organic Brunch with healthy juices, pasta stations, grills, and seasonal in house vegetables grown in the restaurant garden. However, the concept has found a following among the expatriate crowd, who, in this weather are usually out for Sunday morning strolls at the Lodi gardens. The cost of the brunch ranges from Rs 1,299 to Rs 1,799 and yoga lessons are free of cost. Contact: 011-24652808
