RRB JE 2025 Applications Extended: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the ongoing recruitment process for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). RRB JE increase in vacancies

The Boards have announced an increase in vacancies at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, under RRB Jammu–Srinagar, and Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, under RRB Chennai, raising the total number of vacancies in the ongoing recruitment drive from 2,569 to 2,588.

RRB JE modification window

To facilitate applicants, a modification window has been opened from November 25 to December 10, 2025, allowing registered candidates to revise their chosen RRB, post preferences, zonal railways, and production units. However, changes are restricted within the same selected RRB.

A second paid modification window will be available from December 13 to 22, 2025, during which account details and the originally selected RRB cannot be altered.

RRB JE scribe

Eligible PwBD candidates requiring a scribe must submit their scribe details between December 23 and 27, 2025, through their respective RRB portals. The RRBs have clarified that all other terms of the original notification remain unchanged and have cautioned candidates against engaging with touts or fraudulent agents, emphasising that the recruitment process is fully computerised, transparent, and strictly merit-based.

Meanwhile, the Railway Recruitment Board will be declaring the NTPC 2025 result by next week, a Railway official informed indianexpress.com. Candidates are advised to stay tuned, as the RRB NTPC result 2025 date will be updated here once confirmed.

The CBT 1 exam was conducted from June 5 to June 24 to fill various graduate-level positions across different RRB zones. A total of 2,177 candidates cracked the exam in CBT one. The CBT 2 exams were held from August 7 to September 9. Once the RRB NTPC results are published, they will include the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the next stage of the recruitment process.
