Another swine flu death,toll touches 119 in city
A 50-year-old man died of swine flu on Friday morning. With the death of Chandra Parmananda Hiranandani of Wanavdi,swine flu death toll has reached 119. Pradeep Awate,Medical Officer of state health services,said Hiranandani was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic following swine flu symptoms on November 19. She was also a patient of diabetes and her condition was critical. She succumbed at around 10.45 am on Friday.
Ghorpadi-Mundhawa Road to be closed to traffic
Owing to annual maintenance of Level crossing gate No. 68/A at Ghorpadi-Mundhawa Road of Pune-Solapur Section,it would be closed between 2 am and 6 am on Saturday. Due to special Power Block in Talegaon station limit L-18 Pune-Lonavala local,leaving Pune at 1 pm,will run late by 45 minutes on Sunday.
Water closure
Due to fissure in the 14-inch water pipeline near Command Hospital on Friday evening and the following repair work that will continue on Saturday as well,water supply to the Camp,Fatimanagar,Solapur Road,Solapur Bazar,Wanavdi,Bheempura,B T Kawade Road would be hit the whole day on Saturday till evening.
