Artist Gurmeet Singh Chitrakaar’s first exhibition in the city,titled ‘Identity’,is being displayed at Darpan Art Gallery,Senapati Bapat Road,from March 8 to 14. A collection of close to 25 paintings takes one through Singh’s portrayal of the common hardworking man. Singh uses multiple mediums like oil,poster and acrylic for his work.“I have been influenced by renowned artists like Raja Ravi Verma,S Sobha Singh,SM Pandit,Hari Singh. They created paintings that act as a reference bank for the future generation,” says Singh.
