TTE booked for attacking passenger

Mumbai Railway Police booked a TTE at Dadar Station on Wednesday for allegedly detaining and assualting a passenger.

Mumbai Railway Police booked a TTE at Dadar Station on Wednesday for allegedly detaining and assualting a passenger. Ramesh Kumar Pratapram Arya (29) lodged a complaint that TTE Anand Madan Singh Pardeshi (48) detained him illegally in the morning and slapped him. Railway Police said Arya of Pimpri- Chinchwad in Pune district was travelling on a second-class ticket in the first class compartment of a Kurla-Dadar fast local at around 10 am.

When Pardeshi asked him to pay a fine of Rs 260,he attempted to flee. The TTE,however,caught him on platform 6 of Dadar Station and a heated argument ensued. Arya,who has come to Mumbai for medical treatment,paid the fine but later lodged a complaint with Railway Police. PP Kirdat,Senior Inspector,said,“A non-cognizable offence was registered against the TTE.’’
