A six-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a 19-year-old youngster when he had gone to attend a jagran in Atarsuia area of the city on Saturday morning.

A six-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a 19-year-old youngster when he had gone to attend a jagran in Atarsuia area of the city on Saturday morning. The accused has been arrested.

According to the police,the boy,who had come to his maternal grandfathers home in Harshvardhan Nagar,Atarsuia,for the last few days,had gone along with his parents to attend a jagran in the locality. Around 5.30 am,the accused,a rickshaw puller,who was sitting beside the boy,lured him away on the pretext of getting him chocolates. He then sodomised him. The boy later approached the parents crying. A case was registered and the accused,identified as Rahul,has been arrested, said Station Officer (Atarsuia),Rajesh Narayan.
