Noida prepares for cycling event

The Noida administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure security for athletes and guests coming to the Commonwealth Games event.

The Noida administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure security for athletes and guests coming to the Commonwealth Games event. For the time trail cycling is scheduled for October 13 on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway,the administration has deployed 13,000 personnel.

“We are not leaving even a single stretch unguarded. The practice session for the event started from September 28,and will go on till October 12. The Expressway has been totally shut down for commuters,” said Ashok K Singh,Senior Superintendent of Police,Gautam Budha Nagar.

The venue has been divided into 12 zones. “Each checkpost would have senior officers along with constables and soldiers from other wings,” added the SSP.

Spectators and guests can park their vehicles at the Mahamaya Balika Inter College. Spectators travelling by Metro can get off at the Botanical Garden Metro station,from where DTC and DMRC feeder buses will ferry them to the venue. There are plans to deploy choppers for air security,added the SSP.
