Shiksha wins 2 golds
Chandigarh: Umesh Kumar of Government College of Hoshiarpur toiled hard before winning the tiresome 5000 metre race in the Annual Panjab University Athletics Championship at the PU Campus on Friday. He took 16:01.49 seconds,while Rakesh Kumar of SGGS College of Chandigarh took 16:06.53 seconds.

Shiksha of GGD SD College,Chandigarh with a leap of 5.09 metre,claimed gold in long jump for women. It was second gold medal for Shiksha who had won the 100 metres dash on Thursday.

Budha Dal cagers excel
Patiala: The boys and girls teams of the Budha Dal Public School Patiala won the CBSE Cluster XV Basket Ball Tournament,that concluded on Friday. Patiala mayor Ajit Pal Singh Kohli handed over the trophy to the winners. A large number of teams from reputed schools in the region took part in the basketball tournament.

Karan enters final
Patiala: Karan Singh of Public College,Samana,entered the final of Lightfly Weight category during the Punjabi University Inter College Boxing Championship held at MM Modi College on Friday.
