Kaun Banega Crorepati returned to Indian television with its tenth season on September 3. This Amitabh Bachchan hosted game show is an Indian adaptation of British show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? While KBC 10’s format remains the same, there are a few changes. For instance, the questions are going to be difficult. Augmented reality technology will also be used on Kaun Banega Crorepati 10. In lifelines, the audio call has been replaced with a video call. For those who will watch the Big B show on Sony’s OTT app SonyLIV, there is an added advantage. They will be able to match wits with the contestant sitting on the hot seat and participate in the show through the Sony LIV app.

The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings for week 40 are here. While Amitabh Bachchan hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati maintained its position as the numero uno show in the urban market. Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 11 opened to average numbers and is placed at the number 11 slot. Since it’s only the opening day numbers, makers are positive that it will rise in the coming days. Kundali Bhagya secured its place at the second spot and Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 is at the third position. Udaan and Shakti - Astitva Ek Ehsaas Ki are placed at the fourth and fifth slot, respectively. As for channels, Sony Entertainment Televison surpassed all to become the number one channel followed by Colors and Zee TV. Star Plus lagged behind at the fourth spot. Note: All impressions in 000s
