Another person wrote, “If my brother does this for me toh Meri property ka hissa v uska 🕶️😬”. This loosely translates to, “If my brother does this for me then I will give him my share of property.”

While many people found this video funny and relatable, a few criticised it for stereotyping women as materialistic. Echoing this view, an Instagram user wrote, “Matlab ladkiyo ko humesha greedy hi dikhao chahe gf ho ya bahan.” This loosely translates to, “Why are girls always portrayed as greedy, be it girlfriend or sister.”

A woman rejected the claims of demanding exorbitant gifts on Raksha Bandhan and wrote, “But reality is hume esa kuchh nhi chahiye (But the reality is we do not need any such things).”
