Kim Kardashian showed off her newest friend to her fans, Optimus, a humanoid robot built by Elon Musk’s Tesla. The American reality TV star displayed her playful side in a series of Instagram Story videos by interacting with the robot, which is rumoured to have cost between $20,000 and $30,000.
In one clip, Kim excitedly declared, “Umm, rock-paper-scissors,” as she challenged Optimus to a game. The robot lifted its hands in response, prompting Kim to laugh and quip, “Oh, raise the roof! Yap.”
The two went head-to-head in the game, but when Optimus lost, Kim teased it with a playful, “Oh! You’re a little slow. I beat you.” What happens next is quite amusing. In response to its defeat, the robot raises its arms in a gesture that humans often use to express frustration, giving the interaction a humorous touch.
Kardashian also posted videos of her new robot on X, including one in which she waves and asks, “Can you do this?” while making a heart shape with her hand. To her amazement, the robot mimics the gesture perfectly, prompting Kim to gasp in surprise and exclaim, “You know how to do that!”
