The finale proved to be an unforgettable episode, with Kalyan taking home Rs 35 lakh in cash along with Maruti Suzuki Victoris, a special addition to the prize this season. Nagarjuna congratulated Kalyan, saying: “Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 winner is Kalyan Padala.”

In a heartfelt moment during the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 grand finale, host Nagarjuna walked out with the top two finalists, Kalyan Padala and Thanuja Puttaswamy, as he requested Bigg Boss to turn off the lights, marking the symbolic end of the season.

The gesture left both finalists visibly emotional. Overwhelmed by the journey and the memories of the past 105 days, they shouted in unison, "We are going to miss you!"

Nagarjuna, ever the empathetic host, smiled warmly at the finalists and gently remarked, "Finally going home..."

As the finalists narrowed down to Thanuja Puttaswamy and Kalyan Padala, host Nagarjuna made a grand entrance into the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 house carrying a golden suitcase, teasing a dramatic twist before revealing the winner.

He congratulated both the finalists, calling them “fantastic” and said: “You guys stayed here for 15 weeks, 105 days, did well in all the tasks, so you are both winners.”

The twist came when he introduced the golden suitcase, explaining: “I have this final, one-time offer for both of you. This suitcase contains Rs 20 lakh. Which one of you would want to take it and walk out?”

Nagarjuna clarified that the total prize money was initially Rs 50 lakh, but after Demon Pavan walked out with Rs 15 lakh, the remaining prize was reduced to Rs 35 lakh. This suitcase held Rs 20 lakh, meaning if either finalist accepted it, the final winner’s prize would be further reduced to Rs 15 lakh.

After a tense countdown, both Thanuja and Kalyan refused the offer. Kalyan said: “I come from a humble background. Of course, this amount is huge for me, but I can’t accept this.”

Thanuja added: “Taking this suitcase would disappoint my fans. Today, I am here because of them; hence it is not right to accept this.”

When asked, their family members stood by their decisions. Nagarjuna gave them another nine seconds to reconsider, but both firmly declined. He then declared their decision to Bigg Boss and the audience.

In a dramatic twist during the grand finale, Ravi Teja made a surprise entry into the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 house, thrilling both the contestants and fans. Kalyan immediately ran forward to touch his feet while the others greeted him warmly. First, Nagarjuna asked Pavan if he wanted to take the offer to help his family, but he declined. Thanuja and Kalyan also refused initially. Ravi then increased the cash offer progressively, first to Rs 7.5 lakh and then Rs 10 lakh, but the contestants continued to refuse.

Ravi Teja then opened the briefcase, confirming that Demon Pavan had made the right choice, as he was set to be the next evicted contestant anyway.
