Kim Kardashian, synonymous with high fashion and bold style statements, once again captivated the world at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s 13th annual Art+Film Gala, better known as LACMA. This time, the reality TV star and entrepreneur chose to blend vintage elegance with contemporary chic with archival jewellery.

The focal point of her look was undoubtedly the iconic Attallah Cross necklace, once worn by the late Princess Diana. This stunning piece, adorned with square-cut amethysts, was acquired by Kardashian at auction last year for $197,453, according to USA Today. Notably, it was believed to be the first public appearance of the necklace since Diana’s passing.

The late Princess of Wales had worn the cross with an Elizabethan gown from the shelves of designer Catherine Walker. As for the 44-year-old reality star, the styling was opposite.

Kardashian paired the historic jewel with a custom white Gucci gown, a design that accentuated her frame and exuded timeless sophistication. To complete the ensemble, she added a delicate Tallarico pearl choker and a luxurious Bvlgari pearl and diamond necklace.

This isn’t the first time Kardashian has made headlines for something like that. In 2022, she caused a sensation by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress to the Met Gala. While the decision to wear such a historic garment sparked controversy, it undeniably cemented Kardashian’s position as a fashion icon.
