The extra factor

Divya Dutta returns to her roots as the host of a film quiz show and reveals her future plans.

Divya Dutta is ecstatic these days.

After years in Bollywood, the award-winning actress of films such as Veer-Zaara and Delhi 6,is going to talk shop on television. Dutta is hosting Extraaa Shots Challenge,a film quiz show packed with trivia, which went on air from September 18. Everyone wants to know what happened behind the scenes, interesting nuggets and other tidbits. Being a film buff myself, what better than to be on the show? says Dutta.

The format for the show is simple three film buffs will try to outdo one another in a three-round challenge, using their knowledge of movies and behind-the-scene happenings. Extraaa Shots Challenge is for the die-hard film buff, says Dutta, who started her career with hosting travel shows for Punjabi channels.

But the small screen isnt all thats keeping the actress busy. Dutta has saucy, naughty characters in the forthcoming films My Friend Pinto and Zilla Ghaziabad,as well as a meaty role in Madhur Bhandarkars Heroine. She is also a part of Dev Anands murder mystery,Chargesheet. Devsaab has forbidden us to talk about Chargesheet, and Heroine has already been talked about too much, she says. I am particularly excited about Zilla Ghaziabad,a film about gang wars. Im raw, sexy and sensational in it, she says unabashedly. She begins shooting for two Hollywood films in March.

The actress will also make her debut as an author. Dutta has been contributing to English dailies on issues ranging from love and life to emotional entaglements. The book, she says, will be launched next year. Its an autobiographical novel. I have plenty of experiences to narrate and am

already penning them down, says Dutta.
