Many controversies later,Indian VIPs still remain firm in the belief that security measures are but for the layman.

Many controversies later,Indian VIPs still remain firm in the belief that security measures are but for the layman. At the Vigyan Bhavan last Wednesday, where the Civil Services Day was being held with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as the chief guest,BSF Director General Raman Srivastava could be seen screaming furiously at a hapless Delhi Police personnel for making the mistake of asking him for photo identification. In a bid to make it to the building before the route got closed for the PM,Srivastava had decided to abandon his car and walk to the building. However,in the hurry, the BSF DG,dressed in civil clothes, had forgotten to carry his ID card. Srivastava was taken aback when he was stopped by securitypersons at the gate, who asked for some identification before letting him pass. Srivastava blew his top, threatening to teach them the security drill. Senior bureaucrats finally stepped in to personally vouch for his credentials.
