Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
BJP LEADERS and chief ministers from across the country attended the formal elevation of Nitin Nabin as the party’s national president at the BJP headquarters in the Capital on Tuesday. While Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai and Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi were seen moving casually among the party workers, former Madhya Pradesh CM and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were mobbed by selfie seekers on the premises. Chouhan, who happened to step out to the central courtyard, could not move for almost half an hour amid non-stop requests for selfies. In the front courtyard, Adiyanath drew the maximum crowd, with security personnel struggling to make way for him amid party workers and photographers jostling with each other to get him clicked.

POPULAR ACTOR Vikrant Massey, who was awarded the National Film award last year for his powerful performance in the film 12th Fail, called on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday to share some ideas about making classrooms more vibrant and interactive. According to party insiders, they discussed promotion of Indian languages in academics during the meeting. The sources said Pradhan was “very impressed” by Massey’s humility as well as his suggestions regarding the way forward in making early childhood care and school education more inclusive and culturally rooted.
